The Pastoral Team
Meet the pastoral team
Upon a pupil’s arrival at HLC, whether it be in Year 7 or an in-year transfer, one of the most important and first people they will meet will be their Student Support Manager (SSM). Each year group has their own designated SSM who will follow them throughout their journey in school. Their SSM is there to support the pupil’s wellbeing and will help with any pastoral issues they may have. SSMs are also available as a first point of contact for any worries parents may have.

Ethos Champions
In addition to their SSM, each year group also has an Ethos Champion. These are also extremely important people for your child’s journey at HLC. Ethos Champions are another point of contact for both parents and pupils and will offer academic support inside the classroom as well as support with wellbeing alongside their SSM. Together, they make a dynamic team!

Key Staff
