The school day begins at 8:30am, when students arrive and transition to their tutor sessions.

All students are expected to be in the academy and ready to learn by 8:40am, when tutor time begins. The main student gate closes at 8:40am. Any student arriving after this time must use the late entrance and will be recorded as late.

We expect that:

• Students arrive on time and fully prepared for the day ahead.
• If a situation outside of a student’s control means they will be late, this should be reported to the academy’s attendance team as soon as possible.

The school day finishes at 3:00pm, with a five-minute staggered exit from lessons. After-school interventions, clubs, and enrichment activities take place following the end of the school day.

The academy operates a five-period timetable, with five one-hour lessons each day. We run two lunch sittings, which rotate between year groups depending on examination schedules and the time of year.
