At Hadley Learning Community, our mission is to nurture happy, healthy young people who possess the knowledge, academic skills, and strength of character to lead safe, successful lives in modern Britain. We want our students to develop into rounded young adults who understand their character and play active roles in their communities. We aim to prepare them for the next steps in their education or future careers, fostering a lifelong passion for learning. Throughout their journey with us, we are committed to supporting every student’s physical health, safety, and emotional wellbeing.
We prioritise personal growth and wellbeing through a robust and thoughtfully created PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic) curriculum which meets the statutory guidance for RSE (Relationships and Sex Education) and Citizenship. PSHE equips students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to live safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives while realizing their full potential. With a clear sense of identity, students will understand their place in society and how to achieve their future life ambitions. Through weekly personal development lessons, tutor time, and assemblies, we ensure that students engage in a well-structured programme that builds both their practical skills and understanding. Students are encouraged to develop their unique character, learn how to stay safe and healthy, and acquire essential knowledge to navigate their futures with confidence.
Personal development is central to our ethos at Hadley Learning Community. We carefully design each part of our curriculum to meet the specific needs of our community, while ensuring full compliance with statutory guidance. Additionally, we embed key values—such as British Values, and spiritual, moral, social, and cultural awareness—across all subjects. We further enrich students’ experiences through high quality and depth of promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion both within and outside of school as well as a broad programme of quality careers guidance. All of this combined ensures we deepen our students understanding and provide broader opportunities for personal growth
